Claims Advice
Welcome to our Claims section
Everyone hopes that they will never need to claim under their insurance policy, many people assume that making a claim is a long drawn out process that requires you to be able to understand all the insurance jargon out there.
Rest assured, that we are always here to help.
If you have never made a claim before, the chances are you will not know what to do should the worse happen. We have shown below some points that you should consider if you are involved in an accident.
-
Remember that you are required to stop by law after a motoring accident. Failure to stop may result in you being prosecuted
- If anyone has been injured you should call the police. If the injuries are serious also remember to call for an ambulance.
- You should exchange the details of all the other parties involve in the accident. This should include the names, addresses and contact telephone numbers
- You should also try to obtain the other parties Insurance details including their Insurers and policy number. At the very least write down their vehicle registration number (insurer's now have the facility to check a database of registration numbers to identify the insurers).
Once you have obtained the information above we would advise you to contact your insurers as quickly as possible. Most insurers have a 24 hour helpdesk to ensure that claims can be reported around the clock. The claims help line number will also be able to arrange for your vehicle to be uplifted should your vehicle not be roadworthy.
We have put together
a list which shows the telephone number of the claims
departments. Unfortunately we cannot list all of our
insurers so have shown our most popular insurers. You
